The Essentials
A true four-bedroom family home on a dead-end street in south Bayridge. An inground pool and what feels like acres of glamorous inside space to explore.
The Bigger Picture
What we have here is a very glamorous and spacious four-bedroom family home on a splendid lot most of the way down a dead-end street in south Bayridge. That would be enough to draw crowds in any year, but it’s especially true, we think, middle of this real estate drought. You add enough breakout space to broker peace among even the most antagonistic of siblings, and an in-ground pool (have you checked the prices for one of those these days? The wait time?) and we really think this is the west-end real estate gem that shines brightest of all.
There is a double garage, a splashy sort of mud room, a main-floor office, and a sitting room at the front of the house with gas fireplace. There is a formal dining room, and then next to the very large sunken family room (again with a fireplace) is a wonderful nearly house-wide new custom kitchen with quartz counters. All of it overlooks the large private gardens and that so-blue pool. The whole place has been re-painted this month, just to add an extra sheen to all the custom finishes. It really is something else.
The laundry is on the second floor, around the corner from a half-acre principal bedroom (the house is 2400 s.f. above grade) with an ensuite bathroom surely stolen from The Park Hyatt, and a walk-in closet. You could nearly get lost up here. Take a good book and you’ll spend the next week trying to reach room service.
The basement is well-finished too, with a bar down thin the back corner like some Yorkville speakeasy. Fix yourself a good martini down there and by the time you’ve worked your way back to the top of this very special movie-set sort of house, you’re feeling a lot like part of Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
The shingles, it should be mentioned, are brand new, so the lid on this particular bucket is guaranteed to keep you dry for the next long while. It's a real estate dream, that’s the cliche I’ve settled on. And it’s a dream from which you’ll wake close to the west end shops and malls, the schools and doctors’ offices, even the storybook wilds of Lemoines Point.
Call your realtor, and if you don’t have one call us. We’re warming up the car now.
