UPDATE: THIS HOUSE IS SOLD. I don’t think most people realize just how close the little hamlet of Elginburg is to the city centre. I can get from my office in the west end to my new listing at 2323 Leeman Road (the specs are here) in about ten minutes. And from there I can make it home, right downtown, in about fifteen. This really is country living without the commute.
UPDATE: THIS PROPERTY IS NOW SOLD! Not every house, every stop in life, needs to be a grand one with clear views of a golden horizon. There are plenty of times and situations in life when what’s most important is a having a good clean spot to hang your hat for a while. And maybe, just maybe, that means a place like the townhouse condo I have now listed in Amherstview.
I like Napanee. I like the linear jumble of pretty buildings and styles along its rejuvenated main street, which seems to me the very epitome of small-town eastern Ontario (and I mean that in a good way), and I like how the town hugs the banks of the Napanee River. That river reminds me of the places in England that I used to fish as a boy. And I particularly like the town’s handsome collection of substantial and well-preserved redbrick homes. Today I was lucky enough to list one of those homes.
UPDATE: THIS WONDERFUL HOUSE IS NOW SOLD! I like this one a lot. Check out the virtual tour here and the listing here, and I think you’ll see why. This redbrick farmhouse is set on five fantastic, varied acres (field in front; Canadian shield out back) and has been restored and updated with a real empathy and love. It just might be the best house of its type that I’ve seen. Let me tell you...
SOLD. 38 Ordnance St is a detached brick home with parking in downtown Kingston. The virtual tour is here. I had this listing for a while, and here's why it hasn't sold yet, at least in my opinion. Firstly there is an apartment building immediately behind the house. And secondly, the 3rd floor loft is a self-contained living space, but the only entrance to it is from the 2nd floor landing
This house is sold!
1337 Waverley Crescent is a nicely updated sidesplit in Kingston’s west end. The full listing is here, and that’s where you’ll want to go for tax information and room dimensions. The nitty gritty. The price, though, I should tell you immediately: it's $224,900.
