I headed west on Taylor-Kidd Blvd, then north on Milford Drive, and west on Grouse Cres., stopping finally outside number 785. You pin that spot on a map and you’re nearly dead-centre of Bayridge. Nothing is very far away, not the schools or the parks, the buses, and the shops. It’s convenient, this new listing; that’s what I’m saying.
It’s also inexpensive. It’s not easy any more to find a proper house in good condition in this price range. While those all around are seemingly losing their heads, Grouse Crescent has long offered reasonably-priced properties on an attractive well-treed street.
Let’s bring a similar economy to the description. If I go on too long you might well miss it. I'll just tell you that this bright and very well-looked-after three-bedroom semi-detached home has hardwood floors throughout much of the ground floor, a very private back yard with mature trees, a finished rec room down below with gas fireplace, the potential for a fourth bedroom, and even an attached garage. At this price and in this location, it’s a smart choice for those just starting out, or perhaps looking for a nearly maintenance-free investment.
There I’ve said my piece, and felt more like a straightforward realtor than I usually do. But sometimes it’s just the straight goods that will get it done.
