38 Ordnance St - SOLD

$359 900

SOLD. 38 Ordnance St is a detached brick home with parking in downtown Kingston. The virtual tour is here. I had this listing for a while, and here's why it hasn't sold yet, at least in my opinion. Firstly there is an apartment building immediately behind the house. And secondly, the 3rd floor loft is a self-contained living space, but the only entrance to it is from the 2nd floor landing

Some Of The Places I've Seen

In the coming months I’ll be describing some of the properties I’ve visited as part of my real estate business. Sometimes I’ll be writing simply because the house is cool, or interesting, or fabulous. And sometimes it’ll be because I’ve seen something (or someone) strange, or because it brings up an issue I think might interest you. You get the idea. Here’s the first.

Bella Bistro

We ate dinner last night at a little place out in Collin’s Bay, just west of Kingston proper. Bella Bistro it’s called (the link is at bottom, and the picture is from their website). The place should be packed every minute it’s open (and I think it often is). Quite simply it’s the best restaurant out that way.  Really good food and wine and beer sourced locally and always brought out to the table by a cheerful crew.

338 Old River Road

old river road

I sold this property a couple of weeks ago, and that’s obviously good news. That’s my job, after all. But there are houses and places that stay with me, long after the work is done, and I think this will be one of them. So here’s an introduction to 338 Old River Road, at Mallorytown Landing, along the St. Lawrence River between Kingston and Brockville.
