FROM THE WHIG (AGAIN) TO SAIGON DELIGHTS - A ROUND-UP

Godspeed

I’ve already written once this week about the Kingston Whig-Standard, and how it dismays me to see the newspaper becoming less and less interested in local news coverage, and more and more consumed with increasing advertising revenues. This week a new “publisher/advertising director”, Liza Nelson, was hired. That’s right, she’ll try to stay on top of two jobs. Which is weird because last time I checked, publishing a newspaper was a full-time job, not something you can stop doing at lunch so there’s enough time left in the day for a few cold-calls.
